Who are these sessions for?

This online series of sessions are for GMTS trainees and provides an equivalent to the face to face CDC which trainees would have previously participated in. They are designed to work alongside content on the career portal which trainees should have access to. 

How will they run:

Each session will be hosted over zoom and be facilitated by either Jem, Judy or Liz, however unlike the normal experiential modules you are not restricted to which sessions you attend so please only book on to sessions you are able to make.

Important:

We have a variety of dates and times to allow flexibility and enable all those interested to participate. However in order to ensure that these sessions are beneficial to all, there will also be limits on the number of trainees that can attend a particular session so where possible book early and if you are unable to attend please cancel as early as possible in case someone is keen on that particular date.

Intro into career planning

This is an opportunity to explore some of these questions and develop strategies that work for you. work will include building on ideas from the career portal to help you think practically about your career and the direction it could take.

Personal Brand

This session will help you think about what makes you different from other people and therefore more attractive to a potential employer. It’s not about who can shout the loudest but about helping you be at your best in demonstrating all you have to offer. Practical, purposeful and applicable.

Please note though not essential it is recommended that you attend this session with at least one other trainee who knows you well as it might be beneficial for some of the exercises.

This will be the opportunity to meet a panel of scheme Alumni, here their experiences and ask some questions. 

Interview practice

When it comes to interview preparation nothing beats practice, this will be an opportunity to explore techniques and some opportunities and pitfalls but also just as import it will be an opportunity to practise.
