You are kindly invited to join a live online event, to support people with disabilities and long term health conditions in the workplace, hosted by OHID London, NHS England London and the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
The event will discuss why this is important, share good practice and provide participants with key elements to support people with disabilities and long term conditions to stay and thrive at work.
Audience:
LA Health and Wellbeing Leads, NHS Health and Wellbeing Leads, ICB Health and Work Leads, HR Leads, Occupational Health Leads
Objectives:
The intention is to:
- explain why it is important to support people with disabilities and long term conditions to stay and thrive at work
- share good practice underpinned by positive steps to improve overall health and wellbeing in the workplace
- discuss what else organisations can do to create a change in approach and culture
- share what has worked well or not so well in individual organisations.
Participants will be:
- signposted to resources to support people with disabilities and long-term conditions in the workplace
- made aware of some essential practices and foundational elements they should be implementing
- given tips on how to empower people with disabilities and long-term conditions to remain in and thrive at work
- encouraged to be advocates within their organisations and communities, championing inclusive practices.
This learning will support maximising staff retention, productivity and fostering an agile, responsive organisation - one capable of addressing the evolving needs of various demographics, including older employees.
