The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Radiology Reporting
Background: With a national shortage of radiographers and radiologists, artificial intelligence (A.I.) support in reporting may help minimise the backlog of unreported images. Modern A.I. is not well understood by human end-users. This may have ethical implications and impact human trust in these systems, due to over- and under-reliance. This event is to support reporting radiographers learn more about the principles of A.I.; disseminate information to explain how they may interact with A.I. in future and identify features perceived as necessary for appropriate trust in these systems.
We have an exciting agenda which hopefully will provide useful insight into A.I. The list below is some of the topics that will be covered.
- A.I. Technology and Governance
- Principles of A.I.
- The Challenges and Pitfalls of A.I.
- Educational Impact of A.I.
- Overview of SCoR A.I. policy and support for reporting radiographers
- Presentations on areas of innovation and good practice in A.I. and Digital.
We look forward to seeing you.
This event is kindly sponsored by the regional Radiology, Imaging and Diagnostic (RID) Academy and is free to attend. However, there will be a cancellation fee for non-attendees.
Please ensure you have line manager approval before booking.
