Join us for Northern NHS England Greener Week — a celebration of the brilliant work taking place across the North to help deliver a Greener NHS and achieve our ambition of reaching Net Zero by 2040.
Following the success of last year’s NEY NHS Greener Week, we’re back. This time as a collaborative effort between NHS England North West and North East & Yorkshire, working closely with regional Nursing and Midwifery Teams to shine a light on sustainability and climate adaptation work happening across our region.
Taking place online from Monday 2 to Friday 6 June, this week of short events will spotlight the passion, innovation, and commitment of NHS staff, working both independently and in partnership, on projects that are driving forward environmental improvements, sustainable practices, and climate resilience in healthcare.
Registration for this event will close 16:00 on Friday 30 May 2025.
What to expect
Each 45-minute session will feature presentations from NHS colleagues, followed by interactive Q&As—offering a chance to learn from peers, explore scalable ideas, and be inspired by the work taking place across different settings. You can expect real-world case studies, insights from frontline teams, and practical examples of sustainability in action, along with opportunities to reflect on how we can adapt to climate change across the health and care system. A full agenda for each of the five days will be shared here soon.
