The West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) are hosting a bespoke health  Risk and Threat briefing, planned for  5th November 2018, 09:30 – 13:00 at Tally Ho Banquet and Conferencing Centre, Pershore Road, Birmingham, B5 7RN. This will be the first of its kind briefing at this level to NHS executives, replicating the level of briefing provided to Local Authority Chief Executives and local Police Commanders.

The briefing is intended to provide those executives within NHS organisations with the current information to fully equip them to ensure their organisations are able fulfil their statutory duties in line with the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015.  This act contains a duty placed on specified authorities, which includes health organisations, to have due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.

Due to the level of information to be shared, we would encourage CEO’s or a board level deputy to attend , ideally joined by your organisation’s Prevent Lead.
