Getting it right in adult orthopaedic trauma – the GIRFT national report
Bob Handley, GIRFT clinical lead for adult orthopaedic trauma hosts this webinar to discuss the newly published GIRFT national report for Adult Orthopaedic Trauma. He will be discussing the findings and recommendations in the report, emphasising the importance of the multidisciplinary team in ensuring equitability of care for orthopaedic trauma patients.
We will be joined by the following clinicians, each discussing a key aspect of the report recommendations:
- Bob Handley, GIRFT clinical lead for adult orthopaedic trauma, who will present the findings and key recommendations in the GIRFT national report.
- Will Eardley, orthopaedic clinical lead National Hip Fracture Database (NHFD), consultant orthopaedic trauma and limb reconstruction surgeon at South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust
- Mark Baxter, consultant in medicine for older people specialising in orthogeriatrics
- Kim Russon, consultant anaesthetist and clinical lead for day surgery at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust
- Jonathan Young, chief medical officer and consultant trauma &orthopaedic surgeon at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire
