Developing an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Plan for Primary Care: Staff listening events

With support from Claire Fuller (Medical Director of Primary Care) and Navina Evans (Chief Workforce, Training and Education Officer), the EDI Policy team are looking to develop a bespoke EDI Improvement Plan for Primary Care.

This session, scheduled for 27 November 2024 at 7pm-8.30pm, has been organised as a dedicated evening session for those who have been unable to attend the previous day sessions.  This session invites colleagues from various roles in primary care to explore what they would like to see from the Plan and how impact could be measured.  This session is open to anyone who works in primary care - both clinical and non clinical, and includes colleagues from across all four sectors (general practice, dentistry, optometry and pharmacy). 

During this session, which will be facilitated by NHS Elect, we will:

• Explore the current High Impact Actions and consider how they could be tailored for primary care
• Explore how to monitor progress against delivery
• Invite you to share examples of best practice already taking place within your organisation

The aim is to publish a final, co-designed EDI Improvement Plan for Primary Care in September 2025.
