Costing Showcase - National Cost Collection (NCC) 2024/25 in-collection analysis and Data Validation Engine (DVE) reports 

Led by Tim Edmondson and Donna Pannell, Costing Senior Leads at NHS England, this event is designed to support trusts in improving the accuracy of costing information in the wake of publication of the 2025 Approved Costing Guidance. They will talk through: 

• the steps we carry out during the collection to identify any potential data re-submissions 
• updates to the DVE reports
• feedback from national teams on areas that would benefit from being reviewed when finalising your costing submission,  where  there is a payment for the first time and where concerns have been raised centrally about the costs submitted.

This event was initially planned to coincide with the launch of the DVE and the trust assurance period but has been pushed back a week due to the clash with the HFMA costing conference.
