NEY Regional REALM April 2025
REALM Objectives & Purpose:
The objective of REALM is to provide a platform for personal and professional development for staff, by creating a safe space where cases can be discussed. Radiological discrepancies are anonymously reviewed alongside examples of excellence. Learning points from the cases discussed are summarised which in turn will drive forward quality improvement.
The purpose of the NEY Regional REALM is to share learning on a wider scale. Anonymised cases, where patients have not opted out, will be reviewed for educational benefits, providing reporting radiographers, radiologists and any other professional attending, opportunities to reflect on practice and gain useful insight.
These meetings do not replace departmental or Trust level REALM, rather we encourage cases that have been particularly challenging and already shared locally, are brought to the regional meeting for wider dissemination.
At the REALM meeting, the case will be presented by the staff member who sends it in. These meetings will not be recorded, nor will the slides be shared afterwards.
The Teams link will be shared before the event.
