North East & Yorkshire Statement/Report Writing for Safeguarding Health Professionals
North East & Yorkshire Statement/Report Writing for Safeguarding Health Professionals (1 day)
This course is for NEY colleagues and is delivered by Bond Solon via Microsoft Teams. A Teams link will be sent to you ahead of the course.
There are 16 places.
Professionals are regularly required to write Individual Management Reviews (IMR).
Often statements and reports are written in a format or style which makes them difficult
to follow, so that the impact of the evidence is lost. Many statements and reports fail
to identify and deal with the issues in the case and fail to provide factual evidence
coherently and credibly. A good statement or report will help the fact finder examine
the factual evidence to establish what happened, to identify what lessons are to be
learned, and to consider recommendations and action plans.
This course will develop the core knowledge of the relevant legal framework. Delegates will consider the roles and responsibilities of the relevant agencies involved, while clearly understanding the role of the IMR author.
The course will instil in delegates the core competencies and skills required to write safeguarding reports to best practice standards.
