Our speakers for the event are:
Mark Rusling – Director of Learning at the National Holocaust Museum, where he leads the Racism Response Unit. He is also an elected Councillor in Sheffield and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Prior to joining the Museum, he worked in education and politics, serving as Assistant Head of a large secondary school, Head of Office for David Lammy MP, and Cabinet Member for Education in a London Borough.
Our history | The National Holocaust Centre and Museum
Dr Martin Stern MBE – Dr Stern is a Holocaust survivor who was interned at camps in Westerbork and Theresienstadt. He supports the National Holocaust Centre and Museum by sharing his experiences as a child and further details of his experiences can be found here: Holocaust Memorial Day Trust | Martin Stern MBE (hmd.org.uk)
We are also joined by the Jewish Staff Network’s executive leads, Dr Emily Lawson DBE, Chief Operating Officer for NHS England and Chris Hopson, Chief Strategy Officer for NHS England, who will open and close the event.
