Uncertainty of measurement - where, how and how do we account for them when reporting outcomes
The quality of practices within physiological science is, in part, defined by the quality of the measurement taken. Data obtained from medical devices utilised by physiological science departments inherently contain a degree of Uncertainty of Measurement (UoM). Defined as “the range within which the true value of a measurement lies”, this uncertainty can affect the confidence in the conclusions drawn from this evidence and should be considered by all staff within these departments. This webinar will discuss where these uncertainties may come from, how they present themselves, and how we, as clinical scientists and physiologists, can account for them when reporting outcomes.
Note: the teams link will be sent 2 days prior to the webinar
