NHS Violence Reduction Academy Symposium
The NHS Violence Reduction Academy, hosted by the NHS London Violence Reduction Programme, invites you to the first symposium exploring the latest evidence of health-based violence reduction, showcasing innovation and highlighting best practice.
The event will take place on Thursday, 21st November at Coin Street Community Centre in London with talks including:
- An overview of the NHS in London and the role of violence reduction
- The launch of the first Academy led evidence review conducted by Queen Mary, University of London
- The importance of youth work and lived experience when supporting young people
- What it means to take a public health approach to violence prevention
- How services support young women and girls impacted by violence
- The importance of providing care for parents and families affected by youth violence.
Lunch will be provided with the opportunity to network with colleagues across different roles and organisations.
