NEY UEC Clinical Community of practice: handover improvement sprint

NHSE regional and national clinical leads have been identified for each improvement theme as below:

• Criteria to admit – Dr. Ben Owen. ED Consultant (Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) and ECIST Clinical Associate.
• Balance of risk and the best place for the patient – Mr. Steve Bush. Consultant in Emergency Medicine. NHSE Regional Clinical Advisor
• Direct referral to SDEC – Dr. Nick Scriven. Consultant Acute Medicine. NHSE Regional Clinical Advisor
• Internal professional standards to support flow – TBC
• Call before conveys – Patrick Farrell. Head of Improvement.  ECIST

The webinar and learning sets are aimed at medical and nurse directors and deputies and other clinical leads in trusts and systems who are responsible for leading on these specific improvements and will provide the tools and shared learning to support delivery of existing plans.
