Introduction to Risk Management for Healthcare Science

This is a general session for staff of all levels around risk management in clinical services.  It will cover a brief introduction to risk management, roles and responsibilities for risk management in your department and who you should expect to work with in a trust around risk.

• We will give some examples of what types of risk you should be assessing;
• Examples of what might be on a risk register;
• Documentation you might need;
• What you should be aware of in your trust;
• What UKAS might want to see in relation to risk management;
• How non-conformity reporting fits with risk reporting;
• Some tools that can help identify risk and benchmarking;
• How the whole team is engaged in risk management.
