The Greater Manchester Delirium in-person event, will showcase innovation and best practice in delirium from hospital, community and an international perspective too.
The event takes place on World Delirium Awareness Day. This is an annual event that is held to raise awareness about delirium and its impact on people affected as well as health and social care services.
Our objectives are:
- To raise awareness and explore why it is so important to identify, find the causes and manage delirium
- To share lived experience stories, including focusing on what we can be doing to improve people’s experiences and outcomes
- To engage the audience on the day, in a workshop to agree our priorities for action to improve the assessment and management in community and in hospital
- To hear from an international team over from Singapore, on their management of delirium in hospital
- To showcase a Greater Manchester locality, where the embedding of the community pathway has made a difference
